Multibody Dynamics Simulation is at the heart of all we do and is the core technology in all our products. Whether for students, educators or professional engineers, our goal is to provide advanced technical capabilities, packaged for those who are not Simulation experts, and delivered at a price affordable by all. We believe we deliver the greatest value in the industry. We offer three products that are used by professional engineers worldwide, and each delivers Multibody Dynamics Simulation adapted to a category of Multibody Dynamics problems.

Collision Detection

Working Model 2D

If you have Multibody Dynamics problems that are 2D in nature, there is no faster, easier way to simulate them than by using Working Model 2D. You can import 2D wireframe geometry, quickly add rotation and translation constraints, springs, dampers, and external forces. Define contacts between bodies. Click the simulate button and then review results via graphic vectors representing displacement, velocity, acceleration and reaction forces. You can also view these quantities on plots.

SimWise 4D

If your Multibody problems are not 2D in nature, you need our SimWise family of products. Our SimWise 4D product combines 3D Multibody Dynamic Simulation with FEA, Optimization, and control system simulation integration. An optional Durability model calculates the fatigue life for the parts in your Multibody system. No other product available today contains the comprehensive capabilities offered by SimWise 4D at a very affordable price point.

If all you need is Multibody Simulation, then SimWise Motion meets this requirement. SimWise Motion is the 3D Multibody Dynamic Simulation portion of SimWise 4D. It does not include FEA or Optimization, but it does include integration with control system simulation tools.

Both SimWise Motion and SimWise 4D come standard with the ability to directly open CAD assemblies from SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, CATIA, and Pro/Engineer, along with industry standard STEP, IGES, ACIS and Parasolids files. Also included are plug-ins for SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, Autodesk Inventor, Spaceclaim, Alibre Design, and Onshape that transfers parts, assemblies, and assembly constraints in an associative manner to SimWise.

Dynamic Designer Motion

Dynamic Designer Motion (DDM) is our Multibody Dynamics Simulation product that is embedded in the Solid Edge and Autodesk Inventor CAD systems. If you use either of these CAD systems and design moving parts and assemblies, then DDM is the product for you. It delivers comprehensive 3D Multibody Dynamics Simulation right inside of the CAD system. It operates directly on the CAD geometry and displays its result inside the CAD system.
